Sponsor a woman at the shelter home
Many of the women at our shelter home have experienced significant trauma or abuse. You can support one of our women and help them recover and rebuild their lives. Our hope for all our women is that they become independent and ultimately leave the shelter home. You can sponsor a woman during her rehabilitation time at the shelter.
The sponsorships costs $62,5 a month, $750 a year. This will cover her living costs, medical expenses, training and any psychological counselling that is required. We are also very happy if you would prefer to offer a part-sponsorship.
We will send you regular updates about how the woman you are are sponsoring is progressing and of course, you can visit the shelter at anytime.

Sponsor a child at the Shelter Home
Funding a sponsorship is a great thing to do as you can transform the life of a child in Nepal by funding their food, shelter and education. You will lay the foundations for their future and give them the best chance to build empowered and rewarding lives. We ensure that all the children in our care reach their educational and career goals and with your help we can work together to support our children’s futures.
A full sponsorship covering all costs: living costs, medical expenses and school fees costs approx. $1200 a year ( from kindergarten to grade 7 ) whereas approx $1350 a year( grade 8, 9, 10 ) . We are also very happy if you would prefer to offer a part-sponsorship.
We will send you regular updates about how your child is doing and of course, you can visit your child at the shelter at anytime.

Donate to support our projects**
By donating you will help fund our projects that support women and children who are survivors of violence, abuse or poverty.
Here are some examples of how your donation could be used:

$50 could buy books for a child in the WFN’s literacy programs, or a woman in the WFN’s legal education classes

$80 could support the purchase of a goat or piglet for the WFN’s animal raising/income generation projects

$100 could pay for the initial treatment of a woman who has been a victim of ‘witch-hunting’
-
$100 could cover the cost of transporting an abused woman from a violent situation to the shelter
-
$100 could buy a sewing machine for the WFN’s training programs, or for a woman starting her own business

$250 could pay for a woman to take part in a 6 month weaving training course

$300 could cover the annual school expenses of one child supported by WFN
-
$350 could cover the cost of one child at the WFN Child Care Center for a year
-
$750 could cover the annual living costs, medical expenses, skills training and counselling costs of a woman housed at the WFN shelter home

$900 could cover the annual living costs, medical expenses, school fees of a child and all other necessary expenses at the WFN shelter home
Any donation, big or small, will be greatly appreciated. The Women’s Foundation Nepal will apply the donation to the most urgent needs at the time of donation.
