Our great thanks goes to our web volunteers . . .
Saskia van Dantzig of the Netherlands saw a need and took it upon herself to remedy the situation. Saskia made our very first web site, working on it in the fall of 2000 and launching it on January 26, 2001.
Saskia is a gifted researcher in human cognition and has published many studies. Check her out online through your favourite search engine.
The web site was a great gift to The Women's Foundation. Having ready access to information about WF available to media, service organizations, and authorities, the web site has helped solidify the reputation of WF as a leading organization fighting for the rights and status of women and children in Nepal. Thank you to Saskia for her visionary insight.
With a growing need for frequent updates and changes in coding, as well as a desire to capitalize on the work of the first web site, Brian Kopke of Canada offered to work on the site.
Brian's ministries have been marked by institution building and social activism.
Brian found Saskia's work inspiring and adopted the site's architecture: information, visuals, stories, always striving to further the mission of The Women's Foundation of Nepal. More stories, photos, links to active content, and information about Nepal were added. An immediate focus through Letters from Renu, and an international awareness by referring to WF as The Women's Foundation fo Nepal became a focus. After negotiating the changes with Renu Sharma and the staff, the new web site went public in November of 2006.
Thank you to both Saskia and Brian for their dedication to WFN, its women and children, and the country of Nepal.
