Men and women, young and old, working together to survive . . .

Heroes abound in the Sunsari district during the August 2008 floods. [More Photos]

Look  at these photos and take note - the numbers of people holding hands, walking together, those being carried, some holding onto a rope placed in the river by those who came before.  In this photo marking a tragedy in the lives of these people, community spirit, safety, hope and comfort are found everywhere in the small acts of others.  These people will survive and their communities will be rebuilt.  Why?  They already have the spirit to make it so.

Donate to the Women's Foundation of Nepal now to help their efforts to bring relief to those who have not yet been reached by the large scale relief efforts of the UN, the Red Cross, and other large orgnizations. Sometimes small and dedicated groups carry out front line work that larger organizations are not able to acheive in the early stages of relief work.
