The Letters from Renu on these pages detail an ongoing saga of abuse. WARNING: some letters have graphic descriptions which may be disturbing. These are stories of real people in terrible trouble. The good news is that there are many individuals who are working to set the world right in Nepal. WFN is one of the groups seeing to it that something is being done to help.
Women's Foundation and New World Nepal deliver relief supplies . . .

Press Release (Kathmandu: September 12, 2008)
On the 12thSeptember, the Women’s Foundation of Nepal, and the New World Nepal, jointly distributed support to the victims of the flood at Sapta Koshi. Two hundred and sixty families received support. They were provided with blankets, quilts, soap and clothes.The total amount of support was approximately Nrs.140,000.
The area where the people received funding was South Kusawa. The Nepal army was efficient in assisting in the distribution of the relief support provided.
The victims of the flood in this area were in urgently in need of supplies. Their condition was perilous. The support was gratefully received by the victims and helped, in a small way, to relieve their plight in this disaster.
