Letters from Renu and the WFN staff . . .
A diary of social work in Nepal . . . February 27, 2008
The Letters from Renu on these pages detail an ongoing saga of abuse. WARNING: these letters have graphic descriptions which may be disturbing. These are stories of real people in terrible trouble. The good news is that there are many individuals who are working to set the world right in Nepal. WFN is one of the groups seeing to it that something is being done to help.
A little bit of help goes a long way for this poor family . . .
This family is very poor family. They have three children but they could not send any of the children to school. They were living near the river side in Jhapa and working in other people's fields as farm labour. When WF Jhapa learned about them, the members of WF came and made a small house on the land of one member. Then they also helped them to find some land to work. they also provided support to buy one cow. With in one year the family was able to send thier children to school. Then there was a functional and happy family.
